Belle Moskowitz Manuscripts

There are fourteen items in the manuscript collection, twelve by Belle Moskowitz, plus a biography of Moskowitz and an autobiography of Josef Israels. The most important piece is the 79 page reminiscence of the Democratic primary campaign to nominate Alfred E. Smith for the presidency in 1928. There is a typescript of the first draft and a typescript with corrections, which was submitted to the Saturday Evening Post for publication in 1930. The remaining manuscripts are essays, mostly covering issues of public policy and youth involvement in politics. Included is the manuscript for Junior Politics and Politicians, which was published in the Saturday Evening Post in 1930.
